The Plains Horsemen and Trotters had a make-up match against Mission at home last Tuesday, with the boys losing 69-41. They started out strong in the first quarter and held tight in the final quarter but it wasn't enough to take on the Bulldogs. It was the best game of the year for Horsemen Senior Aaron Pfister, said Coach Tyrell Allen. He shot 50% from the floor, scoring 11 points. Darren Standeford netted 11 points and shot four in eight from the floor and Anaya Loberg made a whopping nine rebounds.

Allen said that it was a rough game for the Horsemen against Eureka on Friday, with a lot of turnovers. The Lions won 54-14. Eduardo Perianez led the Horsemen with six points and Zayden Allen achieved five rebounds making him a candidate for their leading rebounder.

The Plains home game against Florence on Saturday ended in a defeat of 57-23. Allen said that the shooting percentage was down and the Falcons were a bigger and more physical team.

Loberg played his best offense and complete game of the year, said Allen, scoring 14 points and making seven rebounds.

The Trotters lost their three games: Mission 62-15, Eureka 57-28 and Florence 57-16. The Plains girls were quick on their feet, made swift passes and went for the shots. The home spirit shone as fans cheered on the girls Tuesday and Saturday.

Plains will be taking on Arlee at home this Thursday.
