A Hot Springs woman will be sentenced March 19 after she was charged with theft of more than $4,000 from the Hot Springs Parent Teacher Organization.

Ayla Blasius changed her plea to guilty on Tuesday in 20th District Judicial Court to a felony charge of theft, common scheme. In changing her plea, Blasius admitted before Judge Deborah "Kim" Christopher that while serving as treasurer for the organization, she used the account debit card to make approximately $4,400 dollars in transactions for personal use between October 2017 and August 2018.

Charges were filed last October after a former PTO board member reviewed bank statements.

Also in court on Tuesday, Jason Krick entered no contest pleas of guilty to felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs and a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of a police officer. Krick, in changing his plea, said he could not dispute facts from a domestic disturbance call in December in which he gave officers a different name than his own. According to court documents, officers found opiates in Krick's possession that were not prescribed to him. Sentencing for Krick was set for March 19 by Judge Christopher.
