Deferred sentence in PTO theft

In 20th District Judicial Court on Tuesday, Judge Deborah "Kim" Christopher ordered restitution and a two-year deferred sentence for a Hot Springs woman convicted of theft.

Ayla Blasius was charged with theft of more than $4,000 from the Hot Springs Parent Teacher Organization while she was a board member for the organization. Blasius was sentenced to two years of probation and must pay the remaining restitution of $2,459.22 during that time.

Also in court Tuesday, Jason Krick was sentenced to three years with the Department of Corrections with two years suspended. Krick last month entered no contest pleas of guilty to felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs and a misdemeanor charge of obstruction of a police officer. Sanders County Attorney Naomi Leisz requested the sentence run consecutively with that from outstanding charges in Gallatin County.

Clifford Reed entered a not guilty plea Tuesday to a felony charge of theft, common scheme. Charging documents allege that Reed issued six or more checks totalling more than $425 to Sinclair in Plains in May 2018. According to documents, the checks were written on an account that was closed.

Tyrell Moyer changed his plea to guilty on charges of felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs and misdemeanor criminal possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges against Moyer were filed after a traffic stop Nov. 15, 2018. Judge Christopher set sentencing for April 16 for Moyer.

Also Tuesday, Philip Harris entered not guilty pleas to three charges: felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs (methamphetamine) and misdemeanors for criminal possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing a police officer. Charging documents allege Harris was stopped by a Sanders County Sheriff's deputy on April 7, 2018.
