Sparky's gang grabs early Tuesday lead


Sparky’s Gutter Time took the early league lead as Shanks a Lot golfers shot the low team gross of 180 and Sparky’s duffers calculated out the low team net of 144 in Tuesday Night Men’s League action at River’s Bend last week.

Rusty Haggard, Dave Garr, Jens Jantzen and Charlie Hooten represented Shanks a Lot last week and Kevin Sparks, Tom Holleran, Mike Thilmony and Sean Kelly played for Sparky’s Gutter Time. Sparky’s leads the league standings with 25.5 points and Shanks a Lot and Custom Ventures are tied for second at 23.

In other Tuesday highlights, Mike Gilmore shot the low individual gross of 44 and Thilmony captured low net honors with a 34.

Ty Pardee knocked down the long putt on No. 12 and hit the long drive on No. 18, Bill Nolen cowboyed up closest to the pin on No. 14 besides busting the long 55-and-over drive on No. 18, and Sam Burt put the hurt on the long putt on No. 15.

Scott Garr converted a chip-in on No. 15 and Nolen got one down on 16.
