A Thompson Falls man pleaded not guilty to a drug charge in 20th District Judicial Court on Tuesday.

Wesley Palmer faces a maximum fine of $5,000 and up to five years in prison on the felony charge of criminal possession of dangerous drugs. Palmer was charged after a bag of what was thought to be meth was found at the Wild Coyote outside Thompson Falls in July 2018. Police reviewed video footage from the establishment, which allegedly shows the bag falling out of Palmer's pocket when he got up from a gambling machine, according to charging documents.

Also in court Tuesday, a Dixon woman pleaded not guilty to felony criminal possession of dangerous drugs. Iris Adamo was arrested after a traffic stop by Hot Springs Police Department on April 26.

Robert Matt was sentenced to 30 days in the Sanders County Jail by Judge James Manley on Tuesday. Matt pleaded guilty to unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. His charges stemmed from an incident this March in which he took a vehicle for sale for a test driver. Twelve hours later, Matt was arrested in Sanders County. He was given credit for 52 days served in the Sanders County Jail.

Theodore Seaman II was also sentenced Tuesday, receiving 30 days in the Sanders County Jail for a charge of driving under the influence, third offense. Judge Manley sentenced Seaman to 365 days with 335 days suspended. He was also convicted of a seatbelt violation, and received fines for both charges.
