Let's debate policies

Editor,

So what have we learned from the election? Hopefully to never elect any official on personality versus policy. I will gladly debate, discuss, negotiate, compromise, or argue with anyone on policies of the present administration compared with the policies of the past four years. I’ll let you go first. Give me one of the policies from the last four years you feel hurt this country.

Now it’s my turn. For instance, consider abortion. Science proves life begins at conception, therefore any state that allows abortion up to the day of birth should be charged with murder.

Further, I am appalled that my tax dollars are used to fund abortions in America and other countries.

What about the election? Many feel it was tainted with fraud. We will never know because an audit was not allowed. Anyone who says there was no fraud – NONE – has their head in the sand. Was there enough to sway the outcome? As stated, we will never know.

Will Donald Trump run again? No one knows. Personally, I hope he doesn’t. However, if he does, I will view his promises and policies over his personality and then decide. Speaking of policies, have you noticed the gas pumps lately?

Gary Thompson,

Thompson Falls
