TROY 35, NOXON 24

The Lady Red Devils hit the court to take on the Lady Trojans of Troy falling 24-35. The aggressive Troy team came out putting full court pressure on Noxon, leaving the Lady Red Devils scoreless for the better half of the first quarter. Noxon was able to find holes in the Lady Trojans defense to put down a few baskets. Going into the second quarter Troy was up six points ,. The young Lady Red Devils tried their best to break through the pressure but were unable to close the large gap the Lady Trojans put between them before the half.

Coming into the second half Noxon came out with new fire, ready to take down the Trojans. Ultimately the Lady Red Devils were unable to take the lead and were able to close the point gap. The Lady Trojans weren't able to break past the tight Noxon defense as much as they could in the first half, letting the Lady Red Devils sink baskets, closing the point gap. In the end it would be the Lady Trojans who would take the win.

Eighth grader Abby Yoder proved to be a powerhouse earning seven points, nine rebounds, and five steals for the Lady Red Devils. Seanna Richter and Emma Swanson each got two assists and Swanson got four of the teams six blocks.

NOXON 48, TROY 46

The Noxon Red Devils faced the Troy Trojans at home taking the win 48-46.

Like a wooden horse at the doorstep of Noxon high school the Trojans came knocking, knocking out threes, it seemed. With Troy putting the first points on the board, Red Devil Aiden Currie was able to answer back with a swift lay-up. Keeping the momentum Currie was able to get another basket, but the Trojans were swift to get another three pointer to take the lead. Going into the second Troy was only up by one point. Noxon was able to get another quick lay up taking the lead, but just as quickly the Trojans were back again with another three pointer. Sam Christensenwas able to sink a three for the Red Devils putting them up by one at half time.

Noxon came back for the third quarter with new fire in them ,. It was their turn to knock down some three pointers, and they did just that. Taking the lead, the Red Devils held onto that lead taking it into the final quarter. Noxon was able to sink one more three, before the Trojans were able to answer back, closing the big point gap between them. With thirty seconds left the Red Devils were up by four points, when Troy was able to grab a rebound and the basket putting only two points between the powerhouse teams. Ultimately it would be the Red Devils who would take the exciting home court win.

Justice Kayser led Noxon with an impressive 14 points, Shane Murray coming in behind him with 12 points, Ricky Williams put up 10 points, and Aiden Curry rounded it out for the Red Devils with six points.

Noxon hits the road before the holidays to take on the Alberton Panthers on December 21.

PLAINS 35, NOXON 17

Since Alberton does not have a girls team, Noxon then went on to face the Plains Trotters falling 17-35.

For the Lady Red Devils Maygan Swanson had five points, Jasmin Risch and Deanna Richter behind her with four, while Emma Swanson rounded it out with three for Noxon.
