HOT SPRINGS 49,

ST. REGIS 20

The Lady Savage Heat hosted the St. Regis Lady Tigers, taking the home win.

Hot Springs came out on fire, getting the first points on the board. They would put full court pressure on the Lady Tigers, quickly setting the tone of the game. The Lady Savage Heat would score 16 points before a foul would put St. Regis on the line, earning them the first points of the game. With only a minute left, Hot Springs kept St Regis to low scoring but they were able to gain points from free throws. At the end of the first the Lady Savage Heat held a massive 20 to 5 lead. In the second quarter a Hot Springs foul would find the Lady Tigers on the free throw line, earning them the first and only points of the quarter. The powerhouse Hot Springs team found themselves capitalizing off from steals and rebounds to keep their mammoth lead.

At the top of the half the score was 28-7, until Kara Christensen was able to sneak past the defense to put up a layup. Even though the Lady Savage Heat held a 23 point lead, they never hesitated and continued to work together as a team to make the point gap even larger, keeping the Lady Tigers to only free throws the whole third quarter. Going into the final, Hot Springs only let St. Regis gain nine points for the whole game and they weren't letting up anytime soon. The aggressive Lady Savage Heat kept their intense pressure on the Lady Tigers, keeping them at bay. St. Regis was able to also keep the powerhouse Hot Springs team at bay, but they weren't able to close the tremendous point gap to take the lead or the win.

ST. REGIS 81, HOT SPRINGS 33

The Savage Heat took to the court, taking on the Tigers of St. Regis, sinking 33-81.

While Hot Springs was able to gain the first points of the game, quickly the shooters of St. Regis hit a three pointer, putting them down only one. The Tigers were able to get past the aggressive defense of the Savage Heat to put down more three pointers, taking an early lead. Hot Springs had a hard time breaking down the full court pressure that St. Regis put them on. The Tigers would only let the Savage Heat gain one more basket before the end of the first quarter. Headed into the second St. Regis held an 18 point lead. Within minutes of the new quarter they would hit several massive three pointers to make that gap even larger. Hot Springs was able to answer back with a few layups of their own, but they were no match for the sharp moving Tigers. With two minutes left before the half, the Savage Heat were able to break past the full court pressure to lessen the gap, but at the buzzer St Regis' only senior hit an immensely big half-court shot.

Coming back from the half Hot Springs was able to put down the first points, trying their best to close the point gap that the Tigers had put between them. The Tigers would keep the Savage Heat to minimal scoring in the third, even as the team banded together to break past the aggressive full court pressure. With only a minute left before the final quarter, the Savage Heat were down 39 points. St. Regis was able to continue to sink three-pointers in the fourth quarter. They also were able to shut down the Hot Springs offense to keep the lead and take the win.
