Hill Gang mixes it up Monday

The Over the Hill Gang channeled. sunny days with a yellow ball scramble at River’s Bend on Monday. Teams of three golfers rotated who played the yellow ball, while the remaining two team members played a scramble each hole. Prizes were awarded for low yellow ball score and low scramble score.

Shawn Wilkinson, Barb Wooden and Chris Gross had the low team yellow ball score, while Larry Eddy, Bary Moore and Dennis Gripp had the low team scramble score.

Finishing second in the yellow ball scramble was the team of Bruce Sterling, Jerry Neal and Darrell “Torgy” Torgrimson, and third went to Rusty Haggard, Charlie Hooten and Russ Wood. For the team scramble, Scott Garr, Dave Garr and Patrick Walt finished second, and third place went to Dave Petteys, Mike Normandin and Al Luckow.

On the course, Russ Wood had a chip-in on No. 3, Luckow sank the long putt on No. 1, Wilkinson took that honor on No. 2, Torgy on No. 3, Tom Pride on No. 4, Wooden on No. 6, Sterling on No. 7, Hooten on No. 8 and Walt on No. 9. Chuck Manry hit the long drive on No. 9 and Sterling was closest to the pin on No. 5 while Dave Garr hit the long drive on No. 6 for those 70 and older.
