The annual local Hoop Shoot for Elks Lodge No. 2757, which includes Thompson Falls, Plains, Superior, Hot Springs, Noxon and Trout Creek, will be held at the Thompson Falls High School gym Nov. 11 at 2 p.m.

Shoot organizer Mike Thilmony said that the Nov. 11 shoot will feature competitors who have won their age class – 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13 for boys and girls – at each of the individual schools, with the winners then advancing on to the District Hoop Shoot in Hamilton in January.

As the winners continue to march on, the State Hoop Shoot will be in Livingston in February, followed by the Regional Shoot in March and the National Finals in April.

Local Lodge No. 2757 members will help conduct the Thompson Falls shoot on Nov. 11.
