November 28, 2019

The Paradise Center and the Sanders County Arts Council present Christmas in Paradise this Sunday, December 1, at The Paradise Center.

The celebration begins with a performance by the Gothard Sisters, a Celtic trio performing a musical Christmas program beginning at 4:30 p.m. Their lively presentation, beautiful voices and blend of Celtic, folk, classical world and northwest musical influences create a memorable experience. Instrumentation includes violin and acoustic guitar, but also mandolin, bodhran, djembe, octave violin, and whistle.

The doors will open to the public at 6 p.m. for the official tree lighting ceremony of the Paradise Center tree and several smaller ones decorated by area business and community groups.

The businesses and organizations participating include Mountain West Clothing, Dog Hill Bistro, McGowan’s Grocery, Century 21 Realty, Rocky Mountain Bank, Sanders County Arts Council, First Security Bank, Plains Drug, Thompson Falls Family Pharmacy, Garden Gift and Floral and Clark Fork Valley Hospital. This part of the event will include Christmas carols, a holiday reading and some surprises for children. Light refreshments will be available for purchase between the segments.

Tickets for the Gothard Sisters (adult advance $15, student $5) are available at First Security Banks in Plains and Thompson Falls, Garden Gift and Floral in Plains, D &D Liquor in Thompson Falls and online http://www.sanderscountyarts.org.
