What originated from the author’s life-long connection and experiences with God, has led local Plains author, Linda Fay Black, to release her deeply personal discoveries and remembrances with the Holy Spirit, in her new book, Truth. Published by Austin Macauley Publishers in New York, Truth was released on February 28, 2020. Black, who has lived in Montana since 2002, found the inspiration to write this book during one of her morning walks along the Clark Fork River where she goes to pray. “The Holy Spirit let me know that is what I needed to do,” Black stated. Black has expressed that it was a very hard decision to have Truth published, “it took a lot of courage, there’s a lot of personal information in this book.”

As Black recollected on the experiences she had with God, even as a little girl, she wasn’t always sure what was happening, and what it all meant. “As a young child, I had such a strong relationship with Jesus,” Black said. So strong, that everywhere she went, Jesus went with her. As vocal as she was about her connection, Black was unfortunately ridiculed enough to the point where Black’s father told her to no longer outwardly express her relationship with God anymore. “I got made fun of a lot, people just didn’t understand and I was told not to talk about it anymore. But I’m 50 now, and it doesn’t matter what others think. It’s a real, true relationship that others can also have,” Black said.

Now that Black truly understands what these happenings mean, she wants to share with people how they too can have the same relationship with God. Black wanted to convey in her own words that “people will go through different things in life, and they aren’t all going to be easy, but if you have the Holy Spirit, you can make it through.”

While there may be several messages readers can take away from Truth, Black has revealed that she is doing this to help as many people as she can. “I want to bring peace to people’s minds, to give them hope, and to increase their relationship with God, that’s the true goal,” Black said.

Black, who was honored to find a publishing agency out of New York, is looking forward to sharing her words when she goes on tour. “I would rather start locally, out of respect for the community,” Black said about her book tour. Black’s publisher has told her that she will start in Spokane for local signings, then they will move onto the rest of the country, then hopefully an international tour will be next.
