Bowler achieves perfect 300 score

It was a once-in-a-lifetime game for bowler Lonny Davis this spring at Rimrock Lanes. While bowling on the Over the Hill Gang league on February 28, Davis rolled his first perfect 300 game. Only two others have achieved the feat at Rimrock Lanes, including Ron Reedy and Rich Keil. Both were several years ago, according to Ginger Ward with the Thompson Falls Bowling Congress. Davis will recieve a commemorative ring for his achievement.

At the spring meeting, 41 local members enjoyed a prime rib dinner prepared by the Rimrock staff. Awards were given to the winners of the City Association Tournament, which was March 31 - April 2.

The Gutter Dusters won among the women's teams, Mountain Plains won the men's division and Bernie's Auto the mixed competition. Mixed doubles winners were Angie Lowe and Bernie Groshong, Marshanna Drop and Mitzi Hart won the women's doubles and Bob Flewelling and Bernie Groshong won the top prize for men's doubles.

In the singles competitions, Nina Robinson won for the women, Lonny Dvis for the men.

Over all events, Davis won for the men and Cathy Hummel for the women.

The Hall of Fame recipient this year was Linde Pavlik, chosen for her many years of bowling and participation, Ward said. Bowler of the Year was Wendy Kelley, who bowls in several leagues and attends many tournaments. Kelley tied to win her division at the national tournament in Reno in 2021.

Last fall, Kelley and Groshong both won their divisions at the state senior tournament and are eligible to go to Green Bay, Wisconsin, in August.

Leagues are finished for the season and will resume in the fall. If interested in joining, contact Ginger Ward at (406) 544-7658, or Rimrock Lanes at (406) 827-3536. Youth leagues will begin in December.
