Town Pump to begin work on new TF store

Town Pump has announced plans to build a new, larger convenience store and casino in Thompson Falls. The new store will be located on land behind the current Town Pump on a site occupied by the Falls Motel.

The project will be open to bids on September 1, 2023, and construction is scheduled to begin in October. Completion is expected in December 2024.

"Our team is so excited to watch this new larger store be built," said Town Pump manager Angie Lowe of Thompson Falls. "Town Pump has been a part of the Thompson Falls community for 53 years and we look forward to being able to increase our product offerings and better serve our friends and neighbors in the future."

The building exterior will feature brick, lapboard siding in earth tone colors with copper accents. Planning included energy efficient LED lighting both inside and outside. The interior skylight will provide for daylight harvesting which will allow for use of natural light in the store during the day.

"The design and layout of the new 10,100 square foot store and 3,500 square foot Lucky Lil's Casino were customer focused to enhance the experience of our customers, casino players, and team members," said Dan Sampson, Director of Development and Construction for Town Pump. "The open concept design included vaulting ceilings, skylights, and expanded product offerings which will enhance the shopping experience for our customers," he continued.

The Thompson Falls Town Pump has 25 team members in the convenience store and five in the casino. Bill McGladdery with Town Pump stated that they anticipate hiring 3-5 additional team members once the new store opens. "Town Pump is pleased to reinvest in our Thompson Falls team members and facilities," McGladdery said.

Additional space will also provide for an expanded open deli area where customers will be able to watch

their food being prepared. The new deli will offer a greater selection of grab and go items made fresh using upscale ingredients. The deli section will continue to offer all of Town Pump favorites including pizza, chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, and other self-serve items.

With 42 cooler doors, the new Town Pump will have an expanded selection of sodas, waters, energy drinks, beer, and wine.

Gasoline fueling will be available at 16 fueling positions with Exxon gasoline. Two diesel islands will also be available. Customers can save .05 cents per gallon every day at any statewide Town Pump location with the Pump It Up Rewards + app. Plus, members can earn and redeem awards points on in-store purchases and receive member exclusive discounts on many of Town Pump's most popular products.

The newly expanded Lucky Lil's Casino will feature 20 machines including the exclusive Lil's Platinum games. Players can also earn complimentary draft beer and wine plus free machine play as part of the Real Rewards Players Club.

The Town Pump Charitable Foundation is committed to supporting the community and partners with non-profit organizations in Thompson Falls through its support of the Community Harvest Food Bank, the Gospel Mountain Assembly of God Food Pantry, the Sanders County Public Health Department (Meals for Backpacks), Sanders County Bookmobile, Friends of the Thompson Falls Library, and the Sanders County Coalition for Families.

In December 2018, Town Pump replaced the store and casino in Plains, MT with a new building and a new Town Pump is currently under construction in Troy which will replace an existing older building.

The Thompson Falls Town Pump and Lucky Lil's Casino will remain open during construction of the new building. The company stated that the current building will be demolished once the new building is completed to make way for new fuel islands.
