Golfers ready for divisional tourney

The Blue Hawk golf team competed in two tournaments last week, traveling first to Canyon River in Missoula on Monday, then St. Regis on Thursday for a tournament at Trestle Creek Golf Course.

Theo Nygaard earned an 86 at the Canyon River course, finding 11 fairways, six green in regulations, and 29 putts. Cael Thilmony scored a 93, finding six fairways, four green in regulation, cardingfive pars and keeping his putts to 36. Braxton Dorscher scored a 114, finding nine fairways, three green in regulation, and 40 putts, Blake Shusterman scored a 118, finding two fairways and 42 putts, and Chase Helvey scored a 121, with 42 putts.

Aubrey Baxter scored a 94 at the Canyon River course, finding 11 fairways, six green in regulations, and 38 putts, Sophia Chou got a 95 finding nine fairways, one green in regulations, three pars, and 40 putts. Solveig Nygaard scored a 106, finding nine fairways, two green in regulation, and 38 putts, Olivia Naccarini scored a 150, finding six fairways, and 31 putts.

The next tournament was in St Regis, with the boys placing second as a team.

Theo Nygaard got an 89, finding five fairways, six pars and keeping his putts to 30. Cael Thilmony with 90, finding five fairways, six in green regulations, and seven pars, Cael was able to keep his putts to 34. Braxton Dorscher with 107, finding eight fairways, one par, and keeping his putts to 31. Blake Shusterman with 111, keeping his putts to 38, and Chase Helvey with 116, finding three fairways, and 36 putts.

For the girls Sophia Chou earned a 94, finding four fairways, two green in regulation, four pars, and keeping her putts to 40. Solveig Nygaard scored a 107 and Olivia Naccarini finished with a 140.

No stats were provided for the Plains golf team.

The teams head to Anaconda Thursday to golf at the Old Works Golf Course. The divisional tournament will also be held in Anaconda next Monday and Tuesday.
