Trotters bounce back

October 10, 2019

Call it the bounce-back effect.

Coach Jesse Butcher’s Plains Trotter volleyball team has not lost a match since falling to Sanders County rival Thompson Falls on the road way back on Sept. 17.

Since that fateful day in Thompson Falls, the Trotters have bounced back in a big way, defeating Clark Fork, Arlee, Charlo, Lincoln and probably Victor, although results of Saturday’s match in the Bitterrroot could not be found.

The win over Lincoln came in Plains Thursday as Emma Morgan led the Trotters at the net with six kills and two blocks. Izzy Butcher passed out 11 assists and hit seven service aces, Miera Loberg also hit seven aces and Rachel McNulty had eight digs.

Hoping to keep their winning streak going, the Trotters will play at St. Regis Thursday and at Noxon Saturday before returning to Plains to host Hot Springs next Tuesday.
