THE BEST-EVER FINISH by a Thompson Falls basketball team at a state tournament was the second place trophy won by the 1953 Blue Hawks, who lost the State C title game 52-46 to the Belfry Bats. Those '53 Hawks were (front) Harold Johnson, David Haase, Bruce Hoy, LeRoy Wilkes and Jim Graham, and (back) Russell Watson, Jerry Ross, coach Steve Previs, David Pirker and Ormand Thomas. Jerry Luke and Richard Graham were not present for photo.
