Young Plains teams look to the future

Fillies and colts this season, they will return as fully mature Trotters and Horsemen next year.

At least that is what coach Denise Montgomery is counting on.

Led by Mason Elliott, who won fourth in the 300 meter hurdles, Plains track and field teams competed gamely in the Western C divisional meet in Missoula last week.

Nicholas Hill, Joseph Martin, Brenden Vanderwall, Jaelyn Carr, Adelle Ercanbrack, Alexis Helterline and Peyton Wasson, who along with Elliott all competed in Missoula, should all return next year to form the core for the 2022 Plains track and field program.
