Thompson Falls High School hosted a talent show in the gymnasium on Dec. 21. Ten participants decided to get up on the stage to show their classmates what they've got. One of the contestants, Josh Elder, sang "What are You so Afraid of" by XXXTENTACION.

PLAYING A CLASSIC Cassie Fisher sang "Let It Be" by the Beatles while playing the piano. Dreah Day assisted.

"I picked this song because I was really into this song when the talent show first started and it kept popping up in his head, and the cords on the guitar seemed easy enough to learn," Elder said. He also sang a duet with Maddi Mckenzie, singing "Around the World and Back." Another dynamic duo, Alaina Fitzgerald and Dreah Day, sang "Too Good at Goodbyes" by Sam Smith. Fitzgerald said she picked this song because "it was a deeper song for me. In the past I had to say goodbye to a lot of people."

Carrie Hill did a solo freestyle of "Hold On" by Chord Overstreet. "Part of the lyrics I dedicate to my mom who passed away," Hill said. Cassie Fisher sang "Let it be" by the Beatles while playing the piano. Fisher chose this song because it "really speaks to me. It has a wonderful melody and the words really just flow together so nicely and the meaning that it portrays is really powerful." The show was hosted by Wyatt Griffon on the mic and Issac. The show was spectacular treat for the entire student body.
