County players earn volleyball recognition for 2017 campaign

Four Plains Trotters, four Hot Springs Savage Heat girls and three Noxon Lady Red Devils have been honored by being selected for the District 14C All-Conference volleyball team for the 2017 season.

Plains seniors Jessica Thompson and Rachel Huenink were named first team All-14C, with Thompson being further honored as one of only two players from the district to earn All-State C recognition. Trotter seniors Kara Altmiller and Lindsay Laws were named second team all-conference.

From Hot Springs, two sister pairs were honored as twins Sage and Sydney Jackson, and Danielle and McKennzie Cannon were named to the 14C squad. Danielle Cannon and Sage Jackson earned second team honors while Sydney Jackson and McKennzie Cannon garnered honorable mention.

Danielle Cannon is a junior while the other three Hot Springs girls are sophomores.

Noxon junior Kristina Brown was named second team and Lady Devil teammates Cory Brodmerkle, a senior, and Anna Kaiser, a junior, earned honorable mention.

All-conference teams are selected by league coaches following the regular season.

Honorable Mention

Bella Hawk, Charlo; Sakoya Gaustad, Charlo; Sydney Jackson, Hot Springs; McKennzie Cannon, Hot Springs; Cory Brodmerkle, Noxon; Anna Kaiser, Noxon; Emma Hill, St. Regis.
